Fall Race Season is Here

The members of Team Tizzel do not like fall. It means the end of summer's nice weather (we like the heat over the cold), boating, and dining outside. Fall ushers in the cold Chicago winters. The only good thing is fall brings race season. Time to earn some frequent flier miles as Holly adds more states to her 50 State Marathon Challenge.

While many of our friends are heading to Disneyland for runDisney's Dumbo Double Dare Challenge and Half Marathon, we are heading to Utah and Idaho for Holly's first marathon of the fall season.

We're flying into Salt Lake City early enough to take a drive to see the lake and the Mormon Temple. Our hotel was strategically picked to be within walking distance of two microbreweries. Friday, we'll make a 3 hour drive to Pocatello, Idaho - the location of the race. We're meeting up with one of Holly's friends for lunch at.....wait for it.......a microbrewery. Saturday is race day. Dave is going to be challenged by this one. The first part of the race is all on back roads that don't seem to have any cross streets to cut around. After the race we are getting back in the car and heading to Park City, Utah for a few nights. We have some good dining reservations made and hope to get in some outdoor activities.

In October we will travel to New Jersey for the Atlantic City Marathon and in November we're off to Pennsylvania for the Philadelphia Marathon.

In honor of our friends doing Disneyland this weekend, here's our video from the 2010 Disneyland Half.   You can find the Disneyland 5K video on our video page.

If you didn't know, we launched an ebook about spectating races. Check it out at www.racechasebook.com or click the link over to the right.
